Some women have a conflicted relationship with wealth, such as wanting both financial independence and someone to take care of them financially. Others abdicate wealth management decisions to their husbands. A mature relationship with money sustains and enhances personal relationships and is important for many other reasons, not least because women age 65 and older are three times more likely to be widowed than their male counterparts.
